The Story Behind Extensionist.nl
My journey in the beauty world started over 15 years ago when I trained professionally as a makeup artist. I’ve always loved doing makeup, especially for weddings and photoshoots. During my training, my teachers would often say, “Brows and eyeliner are really your thing.” That stuck with me. It made me realize that enhancing natural beauty is truly where my passion lies.
While I was still studying makeup, I also started taking hair extension courses. Why? Because I’d had way too many bad salon experiences. I kept leaving disappointed. Eventually, I thought, “Enough is enough I’m going to learn how to do it myself.” That way, I’d know exactly what I was doing and never have to rely on someone else again if things went wrong.
I started doing my own extensions, and people kept complimenting me. When they found out I did them myself, they wanted theirs done too. That’s how Extensionist.nl was born out of passion, frustration, and a desire to give other women a better experience than I ever had.
About seven years ago, I also got into permanent makeup. After someone completely messed up my brows, I thought, “I’m going to take a course so I can fix this not just for me, but for others too.” Since then, perfecting eyebrows has become a key part of my work
